Explore
If you feel the Lord might be calling you to explore becoming a Companion or Sister, we warmly invite you to read this page. At the end, you'll find a form that will help us get to know you better.
There is a clear process to follow, which includes a full year of preparation where prospective members are guided step by step.
At the end of this preparatory year, if accepted, candidates (postulants) may make their temporary vows during a special service. After four years, you will have the opportunity to renew your vows and become a lifelong Companion or Sister.
Come on the journey
Season of Discovering
The Season of Discovering is a time for mutual discovery—an opportunity to get to know each other and become familiar with the New Anglican Missionary Society. It's also a season for discernment, as you prayerfully consider whether to begin the preparation to join us.
Season of Preparation
The Season of Preparation (Postulancy) is a journey of deeper exploration—an opportunity to thoroughly investigate what NAMS is all about, discover your calling, and discern whether God is leading you to become part of this global missionary order.
The Vows
Following the Season of Preparation, if the Postulant, the Prior, and the Servant General are in agreement, the Postulant is invited to take their first Vows. This is a four-year period before the final Vows during which the call to serve in NAMS is confirmed and reaffirmed.
