The Briefing October 2024
Dear Friends,
I’m excited to write to you for the first time and share what’s happening with us and the NAMS Network. Today, I’m pleased to introduce our new chapter!
You may be wondering who I am! My name is Josep Rossello, and I’m honored to announce that the NAMS Companions and Sisters have chosen me to be the next Servant General, following in the footsteps of the Rev. Canon Dr. Jon C. Shuler. This transition will take place on November 1st. Jon and I are excited to team up for this new chapter!
This year has brought many wonderful ministry opportunities and exciting new endeavors! Here are some highlights I’d love to share with you:
Our Community
NAMS currently has 32 Companions and Sisters and 26 Postulants (candidates) serving the Lord and His Church around the world.
Mission Bases and New Churches
Our Mission Bases have been actively training church planters across the USA, the UK, India, Thailand, Uganda, Burundi, Kenya, Spain, Brazil, and Venezuela. So far in 2024, we’ve launched 36 new churches, and we look forward to planting even more next year! We are committed to helping churches grow stronger in disciple-making.
New Partnerships and Publications
We’re excited about the new global partnerships we’ve established. We’ve also launched a new magazine and are continuing to publish our podcast! Coming soon is an exciting new book by Jon Shuler titled "The Cycle of Discipleship."
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for NAMS over the years! Your faithfulness has made a positive impact on countless lives.
Your friend on a mission with Christ,
Bishop Josep Rossello
Servant General Designated

Updates from the Field
NORTH AFRICA
The Lord has made it possible to work among unreached Muslims in North Africa. We're training local leaders to plant 'house churches' in this region. Please pray for the safety of our companions and church planters.
NAMS MISSION BASE MIDWEST
The Rev. Dave Kulchar, our Prior, has begun laying the groundwork for a new church plant, following his time as the founding priest of All Souls Anglican Church in Indianapolis. The goal is to plant five new churches in the Midwest over the next five years.
GAP PROGRAM
We remain committed to developing future Christian leaders through the Global Apprentice Program. Roma Durell of the USA currently serves with NAMS Bangkok, while Ramthing Jajo and Thomas Yonjan serve in NAMS Odessa, India.
ENGLAND
Bishop Josep Rossello was present at the inauguration of the third diocese of the Anglican Network in Europe in Manchester. He participated in the consecration of Bishop Dr. Gideon Ilechukwu, the new bishop of the AMC Europe diocese.
ANGLICAN ASSOCIATES
The Rev. Canon Dr. Jon C. Shuler continues to train church planters through the Anglican Associates. NAMS remains committed to equipping and training church planters in the USA and abroad.
New Opportunities
Mission to the USA
We are casting a vision to establish five new churches in every state by 2050— these Great Commission congregations will transform lives, make disciples, and plant new churches across America. Please pray with us for the 5/50 Mission.
MTS South Asia
The Lord has opened doors to train over 200 Christian leaders in South Asia. The NAMS Institute is working to create a secure virtual platform to offer free training online, equipping church planters to spread the gospel throughout this region. Please pray with us for MTS South Asia.
Next 30 Brazil
Our Brazilian outpost is assisting with the planting of five new churches across four states. Additionally, ten candidates are completing their applications to become Companions next year. Please pray with us for the new NAMS Outpost in Brazil.
Our Commitment
Our commitment is to establish 3,000 new faithful churches over the next 30 years. We achieve this goal by inspiring, equipping, assisting, and planting churches that fulfill the great commission.
