Church Growth in Temuco (Chile)
A big step forward in the mission work of the New Anglican Missionary Society (NAMS) has been reached with the planting of the ALP Christian Community in Temuco, Chile. This is the very first church that NAMS started in South America. The church has grown strong roots and is seeing how God is changing lives in the area.
Started by Reverend Andres Casanueva, who is a NAMS Companion and the Prior of the NAMS Mission Base Temuco, the ALP Christian Community has been growing steadily since it began. Now with about 70 people attending, the church has become a bright light of hope and Christian life in its city. Even a couple of other churches, one in the same city and another in a nearby town, have asked the ALP Community for help and support to spread their mission work further.

A clear sign of how lively the church is was their recent retreat in February. Sixty members of the church family came together for a time of fellowship, growing in their faith, and feeling refreshed. The General Servant of NAMS was also there to share in the joy of this event. He had the special opportunity to spend precious days with the growing community, leading them in daily devotions that were deeply inspiring for everyone who took part.
The story of the ALP Christian Community is an encouraging example of the power of Jesus Christ's good news, all for God's glory. Its ongoing growth and the positive impact it's having are something to celebrate for NAMS and for the Christian community everywhere.
