New Missionary Companion
In a historic moment for the New Anglican Missionary Society (NAMS Network), Victor Denoual became the first Missionary Companion in the United Kingdom, making his initial promises and vows in a moving service in Axminster. Surrounded by family and friends, Victor committed himself to preach and teach “Jesus Christ and Him crucified;” to plant new churches wherever God opens the door; always to obey the Holy Spirit; and never to break the Word of God.
Victor felt the stirring of the Holy Spirit to take a more intentional step into missionary work. After months of discernment and formation under the guidance of the Servant General of NAMS, he embraced the call to become a Missionary Companion —a Christian who lives under simple Rule of NAMS, while serving in their local or global context.
“I have a passion to serve where the Lord has placed me,” Victor said. “I am looking forward to make disciples where the Lord opens door and equip churches to be more effective in their mission, as we plant and support new work.”
As the first UK-based Missionary Companion, Victor will serve as a bridge between NAMS and the local churches. His work will include leading the Ambassadors program, partnering with local churches to reignite a passion for discipleship and church-planting, and being the Liaison to the Servant General.
“This isn’t about leaving home to serve abroad,” Bishop Rosselló explained. “It’s about being sent right where you are—living as Christ’s witness in your town, workplace, and family. England and Europe need faithful missionary disciples now more than ever.”
NAMS hopes this development will bring a growing missionary presence in the UK. Already, several others are in discernment about joining as Missionary Companions.
As Victor begins this new chapter, he carries with him the prayers of the global NAMS community of Missionary Companions and Sisters.
