NAMS teaches at BIT Bangkok
Equipping the Next Generation: Teaching at Bangkok Institute of Theology
Over the past few weeks, a new era of NAMS partnership with the Church of Christ in Thailand (the largest presbyterian denomination in Thailand) began at the Bangkok Institute of Theology (BIT). Reverend Isaac Lasky, a NAMS companion serving in Bangkok, had the privilege of teaching and equipping a group of students eager to deepen their understanding of mission, evangelism and disciple-making.
A Vision for Leadership Development
These sessions were designed to inspire and equip Thai university students with sound theological foundations and practical ministry skills. As part of NAMS' global commitment to raising up young leaders, the teaching program at BIT aimed to foster both spiritual growth, missional vision and practical skills among the students.
The classes, interactive and engaging, covered topics relevant to disciple-making, evangelism, youth leadership development and cross-cultural ministry. The focus was not only on imparting knowledge but also on empowering students to live out their faith boldly in their communities.
Collaboration and Gratitude
This initiative would not have been possible without the partnership and support of local staff and volunteers. Special thanks are due to Patinya Sangiamchit for faithfully assisting in every session and to T ayakorn Chuangcham for attending the last session to share how Reverend Isaac’s mentorship has personally impacted his life. Their efforts made the classroom experience rich and accessible for everyone involved.
Continuing the Mission
As the program concludes, the seeds planted in the lives of these students are expected to bear fruit in the months and years to come. Many of these young leaders will go on to influence their churches, workplaces, and communities for Christ.
This teaching program stands as a testimony to the power of collaboration and NAMS committed to obeying the final command of Christ: to disciple the nations. We look forward to more opportunities to walk alongside local partners and students as we seek to fulfil the Great Commission.
